F… Them and Here’s Why

Could just be me, but petty people are probably my ultimate annoyance. I’m typically a generous human being, I give cheerfully with no expectation of debt or repayment for the receiver. I learned young to only give what you can afford to never get back.  I’ve helped some people along the way and usually, those people have similar values to me so it’s never an issue. They pay me back if they can afford to and if they couldn’t they’d let me know. However, there’s the occasional abuser of kindness that violates the unspoken boundary after they get what they want. You know the type of person that borrows something and then loans it back to you as if it’s theirs. They’re also super quick to tell you that you owe them for whatever slight inconvenience they help you with but compliment you for being a good person when you bail them out of major stuff…whilst never paying you back. Whether stated or implied, they basically hit you with “I don’t owe you shit”.

On the world stage, the government of Israel is that petty ass friend. They are the violators of space and friendship for personal gain at whatever cost. I won’t pretend like their lame ass behavior is new, but I’ve addressed how shady and shitty they are in previous posts. This though, comes after these douche bags, who continue with their push for genocide of the Palestinian people, have killed “friends” of theirs at the World Central Kitchen. Coincidentally the victims are from the countries that have propped Israel up the most. The countries that have looked the other way for the past few decades as Israel behaves like an entitled asshole.

Now, I’ve seen President Biden sheepishly call for a ceasefire a couple times, never with an absolute condition or any degree of conviction. I’m not familiar with what the UK, Canadian or Australian Prime ministers have been saying. Regardless, all that Netanyahu has heard are the tough words of leaders that “ain’t about to do shit”. I remember being in a grocery store watching this mom turn beet red because her child was having a meltdown. The kid wanted something, and the mom kept saying no, I was embarrassed for the lady. The kid was screaming like he was being beaten to death, finally, the mom gave in, and the kid got what he wanted, she gave him a hug, and no lessons were learned. That’s what Israel is doing to the Western world. They’re doing shit they have NO business doing, and instead of whopping that ass and saying, “you can’t have it because I said so”, our leaders are giving in to shut them up.

“There will be no electricity, no food, no fuel, everything is closed. We are fighting human animals, and we are acting accordingly”

Yoav Gallant, Israeli Minister of Defense

I know, multiple metaphors to describe the same goofy ass Government. I honestly don’t see a good reason to support them at this point. Most of our issues in the Middle East are a result of us supporting Israel, not because those nations have independent beefs with us. There is no long-standing feud between the U.S. and any Middle Eastern nation that goes back beyond 1948. Yet we’ve fought in 2 full scale wars, had several dust ups leading to complete destabilization in the region over the past 75 years…all because our government is “friends” with these petty, shit-bag folks running Israel.

Not to mention, the reason they exist as a country in the first place is because the West annexed it from Palestine like Russia did Crimea. We’re taught that Russia was wrong for that…so how exactly is Israel right? I would have been on board with them getting a portion of Germany, since that’s who did them wrong, but that’s about it. Racism wouldn’t allow that of course, so these Europeans took land that they had no real right to, other than what was stated in a religious book their ancestors created to establish their religion. That whole line of thinking is stupid, but we rolled with it. And I don’t mean “we” like us, I mean “we” like our governments.

I served in Afghanistan and Kuwait, and I was able to see the destruction that we’re causing in one form or another. In every war there are casualties, sometimes of non-combatants. In Afghanistan, when those situations arose, our Contracting Officer Representatives would pay them a couple hundred bucks for the loss of human life…but more for the loss of livestock. I heard some of these people talk about the Afghans and other Middle Eastern folks with no respect. The term Haji was used as a slur to mean any Middle Eastern person, although it is a legit term for a Muslim that went on the pilgrimage to Mecca. All of this destruction, hatred and violence stemmed from our support of Israel in all honesty. So, one would think the least they could do is not murder our citizens. But as is true for all petty ass people, the least they can do is act like you should be glad you’re on their side.

Fuck’em! At what point do we say, “this has been more than enough”? I’ve never been slapped or punched by a friend, but I can assure you my reaction would mirror my reaction to a stranger doing it. The only difference is that I’d be more upset that a friend I’ve been through things with, and helped out on multiple occasions, would disrespect me in this way. Granted, I’m wired a little different when it comes to respect, so my response could be over the top. 😉 Israel has repeatedly violated the trust and respect that should be expected of friends. As a result they should be treated like enemies at this point. That has nothing to do with their religion or anything, it has everything to do with them behaving like assholes.

Nope, none of that is popular to say, but the honest truth is that if we were willing to intervene and show force in Somalia, Bosnia, Haiti, Kuwait, Panama, and all of these other places regardless of American interests, we should intervene in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, because our petty friend ain’t listening to reason. As a matter of fact, I believe NATO countries should go there and reclaim what is rightfully Palestinian territory, and protect human rights as fiercely as Israel has sought to violate them.
